Happy Tails 2011

"We had no intention of getting another dog the day we met Mini. We were just recovering from losing Shilo, our white shepherd mix, who had passed away a year and a half ago. And our Ridgeback, Lucky wanted to part of any new dogs coming into our home. That all changed in January.

From the minute I laid eyes on her, there was something very special in Mini. I ran and told my husband about this adorable puppy and he immediately said "we’re not getting another dog. Lucky would never tolerate it." I went and got Mini and put her in my husband’s arms and all bets were off!!! I went to talk to Janel and get some general information about the pup and by the time I got back, my husband had named her. We were told she might be pit/terrier mix but that was all Janel could tell us since she only knew the breed of the mother. Imagine my surprise and joy when she had her first veterinary appointment and the doctor said she definitely had shepherd in her.
We are madly in love with this little girl and are so blessed to have been given this gift which has brought so much more joy into our home. As you can see by the pictures, Lucky loves her too.  Thanks Janel and David for saving God's helpless creatures."

Happy New Year!

2010 brought Henry into our lives. At eight weeks old, Henry was dumped in front of a veterinary clinic in Los Barriles, Mexico along with two of his sisters. Lucky for us (and for him) we were able to bring him here where he is now happy, healthy and sometimes a little crazy. We are grateful for our furry friends and the happiness they bring into our lives.

Millions of pets are abandoned each year all over the world. In celebration of the new year and our furry pals, we've made a donation to the Seattle Humane Society. The mission of this organization is to bring people and pets together to enrich each others lives. We can't think of a better way to start the year.

Cheers,

Ed, Marcela, Lula and Henry
