We will have one day of fishing and a costume party on halloween!
Your participation helps spay and neuter the animals in and around Los Barriles
along with providing pet food for those who can't afford it!

Our net proceeds from the 2010 fishing tournament were very close to $8,000. A.L.M.A. provides much needed spay/neuter services, vaccines, public education, foster care, adoption and emergency medical services. Our cost was approximately $12,000 US last year for these services.

Highway 1 mini-storage, Los Barriles Baja Waterfront Property (FSBO) Little Known Facts: Another little know item… when you fight a billfish, it sends out distress signals which often attract sharks. If the fight goes on for a long time the fish can become very tired, and if there are sharks in the area the fish sometimes cannot outrun it after it’s released. Many anglers in a tournament where lots of billfish are being caught, use a heavier weight line so the fish can be caught and released quickly.
Billfish are covered with a protective “slime” and when they’re pulled on board it usually scrapes off that coating along with scales, which often leads to infection and death. We ask all of our anglers to not remove the fish from the water if it’s going to be released.
